OFFICIAL REGULATIONS

1. Goals and tasks
1.1 The III WORLD GRAND PRIX SOSHINKAN KARATE is aimed at: Further development and promotion of Soshinkan Karate in Divisions: Full Contact Kumite, Light Contact Kumite and Kata around the world. Selecting the best athletes in the national teams for participation in international competitions.

1.2 Popularization Soshinkan Karate as Sport and attracting young people and adults to systematic physical culture and sports.

2. Date and place of the Competition
The III WORLD GRAND PRIX SOSHINKAN KARATE
will be held 11th October 2025

Programm:
Friday 10 October 2025
Arrival and accommodation of teams. Free leisure.
Saturday 11 October 2025
7:30 – 9:00 – Weight check and final Team Registration.
8:00 – 9:00 – Introduction of Judges, Directors, Assistants, Trainers.
9:00 – Tournament Beginning and Official Opening of III WORLD GRAND PRIX SOSHINKAN KARATE
12:00 – 13:30 – Lunch break.
13:30 – 15:30 – Finals Fights.
16.00 – Award Ceremony (Every participant should have their own sport dress).
17:00 – End of Tournament.
20:00 – Sayonara party.

3. The management of the competition
The management of the organization and conducting of competitions is carried out by the World Karate Organization SOSHINKAN (hereafter WKOS).
Direct holding of competitions is assigned to the Germany Soshinkan Karate Organization and the panel of Judges:

4. The Competitors Weight Categories

Competitors are divided into the following weight and age categories for

THROWS ARE DISALLOWED!
Foot Sweep is the only accepted technic. Tournament will be held with rules of WKOS.
The tournament organizers reserve the right to change weight categories depending on the number of participants in weight and age categories
Matches sequences and time limits
Age 6 – 7 • 1:30 min + 1:30 min + weighing + 1:30 min (weight difference – 1 kg)
Age 8 – 9 • 1:30 min + 1:30 min + weighing + 1:30 min (weight difference – 1,5 kg)
Age 10 – 11 • 1:30 min + 1:30 min + weighing + 1:30 min (weight difference – 2 kg)
Age 12 – 17 • 2:00 min + 2:00 min + weighing + 2:00 min (weight difference – 3 kg)
Age 18+ • 2:00 min + 2:00 min + weighing + 2:00 min (weight difference – 3 kg)
Veterans 35+ • 2:00 min + 2:00 min + weighing + 2:00 min (weight difference – 3 kg)

5. Uniform and equipment of participants
All athletes must be in clean karate gi with a belt that matches the qualification of the athlete. Judges should be dressed according to the rules of the competition:
• White shirt with short sleeves with WKOS Logo and a black tie
• Black pants
• Barefoot
• Whistle is obligatory!

Protective equipment for Divisions – Full Contact Kumite, Light Contact Kumite, Point Kumite:
• Helmet (with a protective face mask 6-13 years old obligatorily)
• Gloves: Kids – at least 8oz, Juniors and Cadets – at least 10oz, Adults – at least 12oz
• Shin Guards – white color
• Groin
• Mouth
• Chest protector for all up to 12 years, girls and women is – OBLIGATORILY
All the protections to be use at this official tournament will be homologized and approved by WKOS.
Under no circumstances will it be permitted to participate with other protection. Each competitor must wear his/her own protection. In the case that one competitor gets injured, the use of bandage or any other material of protection must be revised by the official doctor of the competition or the Supreme Judge. Whatever the decision is, this will be final and obligatory for the competitors.

6. Financing terms
All costs of organizing and holding the III World Grand Prix Soshinkan Karate, provided at the expense of the Germany Soshinkan Karate Organization.
Participation fee €60 in each Category.
All contributions go to administrative costs to conduct the III World Grand Prix Soshinkan Karate.
After payment, the entry fee is not refundable!

Registration for participation in the III World Grand Prix Soshinkan Karate should be till 25 Sept 2025.

Without preliminary electronic application, athletes are not allowed to the III World Grand Prix Soshinkan Karate!
